Many different procedures are summarized under the term “Webinar”.
Here is a definition as well as a plea to use the techniques presented.

Webinar in the classical sense means one presenter, almost any number of participants. No interaction between participants possible, limited communication between participant(s) and presenter.

Virtual classroom means that technical aids are made available, which are geared towards a traditional seminar room: Flipchart, the possibility to see each other in opposition, to express yourself and give feedback, to view files together, etc. The procedures described below are all based on virtual classroom technology.

Live Online Training (LOT) refers to our offer of “remote training”. Small groups (max. 6 persons), short duration of 1.5 hours, high interactivity, all participants see each other, a trainer who conveys the content as well as a co-trainer, who keeps an eye on the technique, solves eventual breakdowns and pays attention to the group dynamics, which based on experience occurs in LOT as well as in “real” seminars/training.

RemoteCoaching or RemoteSparring initially may sound strange for some people, it is however very effective. A private conversation with the possibility of looking at documents, illustrating connections and much more. This is an excellent opportunity for support, once the trust in the coach has been personally established. Again, a duration of 1.5 hours is usually adequate.

A remote lecture is a way to reach larger groups within a company (approx. 20 people) without having to forego the advantages of the virtual classroom. In this case, the participant group gathers in a video conference room and is then virtually ONE participant. In this case, 1.5 hours duration again represents a maximum limit.

 

When should one use these possibilities?

First of all, let us be clear: The techniques described above are only implemented if they have real advantages over the classroom training/coaching/ lectures.

These advantages mostly consist of the saving of time and money.

You can participate in a LOT from your workplace; no travel costs for participants and trainers. For teams that are spread out, travel costs can be a significant factor, video conferencing has already established itself and participants are used to using this technology.
